Delia is an experienced litigator who joined our firm in 2021.  Her practice is primarily devoted to complex personal injury claims, professional liability, and employment discrimination litigation.  She also has experience with trusts and estate litigation, as well as commercial litigation.

Prior to joining our firm, Delia worked as an Assistant United States Attorney with the Civil Division of the United States Attorneys’ Office for the District of South Dakota.  As a Civil AUSA, she represented federal agencies whenever they were sued in federal district court. She is well-versed in federal practice and procedure, with particular expertise regarding the Federal Tort Claims Act, challenges to agency rulemaking under the Administrative Procedure Act, and the federal employment discrimination statutes.

Delia graduated magna cum laude from the University of South Dakota in 2007, with her Bachelor’s Degrees in Political Science and Spanish.  In 2010, Delia graduated from the University of South Dakota School of Law with Sterling Honors.  She served as President of the Moot Court Board, representing USD at appellate advocacy competitions throughout the country, was published in the South Dakota Law Review, and was a member of the Order of the Barrister.

Following her graduation from law school, Delia clerked for the Honorable Karen E. Schreier of the United States District Court for the District of South Dakota.

Delia grew up in Doland, South Dakota.  She enjoys reading, running, and spending time with her husband and daughter.
