Aaron P. Lougheed

Aaron grew up in Beresford, South Dakota.  In 2014, he earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Dakota before obtaining his J.D. degree from the University of South Dakota School of Law in 2017.

Upon graduating law school, Aaron was selected as a law clerk for the Seventh Judicial Circuit of South Dakota, in Rapid City.  After clerking in the Seventh Circuit for two years, Aaron was able to gain significant trial and courtroom experience by becoming a criminal prosecutor for Pennington County and then for Minnehaha County.  While representing the State of South Dakota, he handled a demanding case load of serious violent offenses and conducted numerous jury trials, developing a strong command of the courtroom, case strategy, evidence presentation, and decisive advocacy.

Outside of work, Aaron enjoys watching sports, spending time outdoors, and relaxing with his wife, daughter, son, and dog.
